This Rosary is a very rare find and dates back to my grandmother’s first communion around 1908. The only marking I can read is ‘XXX’. The beads are believed to be opals and possibly 5 roughly cut diamonds. It’s has a soulful glow about it… I got in trouble many times wearing it as a necklace… but it’s too lovely to keep in a box.

eskandaria You have opalescent glass beads, often called opaline. They are not opal stone, which is never drilled through and never faceted. Its lovely. I think I see WAP XXX

brandestjohn @eskandaria good to know!! I should definitely stick with selling houses… not jewelry! The last piece I sold the buyer scraped up, broke the clasp and sent back to me… Poshmark isn’t working well!!
