maiposh8987 The sole and heel are made of leather (not wood😌) it’s how shoes, proper shoes, were and are, made. The leather is glued and stacked then shaped. It’s more common in better cowboy boots these days but any shoe that is worth the quality and money should have heels and soles like this. Cheers

maiposh8987 & Shocked to get a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shooties with damaged heels and they were plastic core with a leather wrap! Glad I bought them from here or I would’ve been horrified by finding that at what they are retail. My guess is that many “better” brands are cheesing their customers with this kind of $#%!

maiposh8987 Well I am entirely shocked and disappointed again. Just rcvd a pair of VS peep toes and they have a similar design to yours but they definitely have the same wrapped heel. If the seller will take them back I would love an offer on your sling backs!
