Victorian shell puzzle art piece porcelain doll sea shell whimsy OOAK

This is a one of a kind piece made from a little Victorian fairing or doll who lost her legs and possibly her nose and has been repurposed in a puzzle craft which was a Victorian project. Often you would see these as puzzle jugs where bits and Bobs and beads and broken pieces of jewelry as well as these little dolls would often find their way to be glued onto a base in this case it is a shell the artist very carefully use some gold gilding around the edges of the part of the shell that was affixed to the top to form a little vase. I adore her jaunty green hat! These are highly collectible very hard to find and just adorable. It measures about 4 in across the base and about 3 in tall pure sweetness, what a little time traveler! Sometimes called a Sailor's Valentine.
