Vintage 14K Emerald Cut Amethyst 13mm X 17mm Earrings with French Clip Backings

This is a Vintage 14K Emerald Cut Amethyst 13mm X 17mm Earrings with French Clip Backings. It is in beautiful vintage condition. The amethyst stones are a deep, rich purple. I'm guessing the carat weight on the amethyst stones is 15 carats each, a total of 30 carats. The gold is marked 585 and 14K. The stones are so large that the French clips are needed to hold this up on your ear lobes 😊. The stones are deep in the setting and very clean. I took it to my jeweler, and he gave me a verbal appraisal at $2800, as they have a similar pair selling in his shop. This is a stunning piece, and I'm ready to let it go. My pictures may not be the best, but I tried to capture everything about this pair of earrings. I don't have papers for it, as I purchased it at an estate sale.
