Vintage 1920s+ French Ivory/Celluloid Hand Mirror - Art Deco

Antique 1920s+ Art Deco French Ivory Celluloid Dresser Hand Mirror Classic vintage cream-colored vanity piece - heavy weight handheld mirror Stamped with IVORY PYRALIN (French Ivory or Celluloid (an early plastic) and stamped Du Barry (a precursor to Dupont). Beveled edges add to the elegance making it a lovely Art Deco piece (1920/30s), Measures about 10-1/2 inches tall by 5 inches wide In good condition - handle color a bit faded and some minor wear. Mirror itself has beveled glass and is consistently clear (no mercury loss) but some markings - see photos. A great collectible you can use. Background: 'Pyralin,' the trade name of celluloid produced by the Arlington Co., derived from the word pyroxylin. DuPont used the term in the 1920s and 1930s. The "DuBarry" line of celluloid dresser set articles, the first and most popular line from the Arlington Co., was continued by DuPont. A-090
