Vintage 1920s Purse, Black Beaded Evening Bag With Tassels, Micro Beading, Wrist

Gorgeous vintage black beaded bag circa 1920s. Could be older. Black woven fabric covered in black microbeads in a vaguely starburst pattern. Inside is just the one compartment. There is a short wrist strap also covered in the same beading. Lovely fringe bead tassels. The back side of the bag has an early plastic (celluloid perhaps) bit of boning across the opening for shape. There is no label. Please see condition. Approx 4.75" wide at its widest and 8" tall not including strap but including fringe. Fair to great vintage condition. I say that because the bag itself is in quite nice shape. But the strap is only fair. This has been reworked a bit over the years, and it also seems like maybe it was attached to something else at some point, though I'm not sure what or how. But anyway, the bag has one strand of missing tassel and the very top that folds over could do with a few stitches at the seam. And there are some small pinhead sized holes in the back. Thats about it really. The handle though has issues. It appears to have been mounted at some point on some sort of ribbon, perhaps a faille, which I think is newer than the bag itself and was added to stabilize and add structure to the strap. That ribbon is now itself started to fray rather badly but the strap it was added to is still mostly ok. I think I'd just remove the strap entirely and perhaps add something else or leave as is. Otherwise, this is doing well and with a little TLC it could be quite lovely!!! Priced accordi
