Antique Limoges bird motif oval vegetable dish. Beautifully detailed. The yellow edge band is gorgeous. Each piece is marked on the back. The pattern is Eden from the 1920s. Estate find. - Theodore Haviland Limoges 9-1/2" oval vegetable dish - in the Eden pattern - made in France - flowers with a bird of paradise perched on the branch - pretty golden yellow trim with tiny hearts - gold edging - oval shape - stamped on the back with a green horseshoe, "Theodore Haviland", with "France" in the middle, which was used from 1920 to 1936 - stamped in red "Theodore Havilland Limoges France" and in light green, "Eden" - 9-1/2" wide, 2-1/4" high from bottom to bowl lip The dish is in damaged condition, and there are two marks on either side, inside and outside. I can't tell if they are actual cracks. I am offering this item at auction in the hope that someone will pick up this amazing piece and try to professionally repair it. Remember, its almost 100-years old and has been loved and used by the previous owner. There may also be a bit of wear to the gold gilt on the edges and trim.
