The roaring 1920s. I wasn't alive in the 1920s but I'm here for it. Stunning necklace, moreso in person than am able to capture by way of photos. I can't find this piece anywhere else online. It really is beautiful & makes me wish I still wore jewelry. *Thank you to the lovely human in the comments for the knowledge. I instantly went over to the 1928 website to see for myself. I love it.

scheherazade87 This actually isn't art deco in style, festoon necklaces were more Edwardian & post WWII revivals. Rare though, 1928 doesn't do many festoon. Probably 1980s. If I wasn't making a festoon necklace myself I'd get, just lovely.

scheherazade87 @_timelessness_ Your Welcome! I'd change the price back to $60 though, 1928 doesn't do fine metals & gems, it's costume jewelry, even though it's exquisite. It won't sell for $100 (& many would consider that price gouging). Feel free to delete this post and repost if you don't want this message there, just letting you know. Hope you find a good home for it!

_timelessness_ @scheherazade87 I was going to ask what you would charge, so I also appreciate that additional information. I see some pieces on the 1928 site going for more than $60, so I figured maybe mine would be worth more since it is "different." It's tough listing a piece I personally appreciate & have someone ask 1/3 of that cost. It seems Poshmark works that way though. Thanks again ❤️

scheherazade87 @_timelessness_ That, but also this piece isn't that old, 1980s is only 40 years and it could be newer than that, the metal has more modern cuts. They'll verify for you via email if you really want a more exact age and worth, just contact them directly. It's also not super in vogue right now, festoon necklaces. That's how stuff sells here, when it's in demand lol. I've 3 1928 necklaces for sale that have been sitting 6 months 🤷

scheherazade87 (Festoon is a pendant necklace with multiple hanging chains or beaded links hanging from it)

scheherazade87 Since it should be pre 2000s you could add "vintage" to the title or tags, that might help it sell. GL!

_timelessness_ @scheherazade87 Excellent suggestions! Gratitude for you being selfless & awesome. On a side note I see they have a neat three strand Victorian cameo necklace for a whopping $140. Thank you for the well wishes. Right back at you. All the best. X.

scheherazade87 @_timelessness_ Ahh yes. Antiques Culture is a sub-brand of theirs that is basically couture designs from a group of artists. All that stuff is 3x the price of the new 1928/2028 stuff (as those are the original, affordable lines). Their bridal line and Vatican line are also $$$ but affordable when compared to gold and diamonds lol.
