Incredible vintage book from the 1930s. Beloved Friend; The Story of Tchaikowsky and Nadejda von Meck" by Catherine Drinker Bowen and Barbara Meck. Tells the true story of a friendship between the adored composer and von Meck. Includes letters that were hidden away for years by von Meck's family. Blue cloth bound hardback cover with black and gold gilt graphics. Published by Random House in 1937. Measures approx. 8.75" x 6". There is an old name tag inside, and a flyer in the back. Excellent vintage condition. Typical signs of life and age to a book this old, and some of the very front pages are split from the spine but still held in. Please note that many of my items are vintage and/or made using vintage materials.
