Vintage 1940's Asian Blue Chinese Dragon Satin Embroidered Kimono Shirt Lounge Top Medium Retro The history of Chinese dragons is long and complex, with the dragon appearing in Chinese culture as a symbol of good fortune, imperial power, and nature. A vintage fashion 1940s Oriental embroidered dragon blouse top. These were traditionally sold as lounge sets were often brought home by soldiers as gifts to bring back to their sweethearts. No maker label, consistent with it's age and origin. Mandarin standing collar. Three quarter sleeved with contrasting white trim and lace detail. Two small pockets on the front. Very colorful with elaborate hand embroidered dragons motif. Knotted toggle closure, so intricate and detailed. There are some small flaws; a tiny hole near the tag M tag on the back. A few fabric discolorations, as shown. Overall, these flaws are minor considering this vintage piece and the many lives it's lived!
