This is an original vintage 1940's Eastman Kodak camera that combined simplicity of operation with excellent performance. It was called the "Brownie Reflex Synchro Model" and was made here in the USA from September of 1941 to May of 1952. It was also made in the United Kingdom from 1946 to May of 1960. The quantity made of this little box camera is unknown for sure but it was in the millions. The original price on it when first produced was $ 6.00 in USD (United States Dollars). It was a TLR camera type or Twin Lens Reflex. It used 127 Roll film that produced a negative of 1 5/8" Inches X 1 5/8" Inches in size with a format of 4 cm X 4 cm and had 12 exposures. It had a reflex Finder with a fixed Aperture and a fixed focus meniscus lens rated at 5 ft to infinity. It had an instantaneous shutter at 1/30th of a second and a bulb mode shutter also. It has a 2 pin flash connector below the taking lens and an extended screw on the top with an extra lug on the side to connect the model specific flash unit. It originally came with a leather everready type case however this one does not have it. I did find the original instruction manual online which I downloaded and printed off and I am including at no additional cost to you. This camera was designed by Henry O. Drotning in 1940 and patented the same year under Patent number D119931. This camera would be excellent for any collection, camera repairer/rebuilder/restorer, photographer, decor piece or as a gift to the same.
