Vintage 1940s Mazer Bros Gold Silver Tone Rhinestone Ribbon Link Choker Necklace
The Mazer Bros. jewelry brand was founded by brothers Louis and Joseph Mazer in New York City in 1923, initially producing shoe buckles before transitioning to costume jewelry in 1927.
Mazer Bros. was known for its high-quality costume jewelry, often mimicking the look of fine jewelry with gold-plated or rhodium-plated metals, sterling silver, and vermeil, along with Austrian crystals and enamel.
In 1948, the brothers separated. Louis and his son Nathan continued under the name Mazer Bros., Inc., while Joseph and his son Lincoln, along with Paul A. Green, formed Joseph J. Mazer & Co., Inc., which became known as Jomaz.
Mazer Bros. ceased production in 1952 following Louis Mazer's death.
This necklace is short about 14.75" and about 0.5" wide
Very good pre-owned condition, has minor signs of wear and aging (some slightly yellowed and darken rhinestones) and minor metal discoloration in a few spots
