Stunning vintage 1940s era peplum dress by NY Creation with sequin collar detail, size S (see measurements below). This dress has been in my collection for decades, but I’ve never managed to squeeze into it. It’s the archetypal WWII era dress, complete with small shoulder pads, sequin collar and covered beaded button details, as well as a peplum that ties in front. Good vintage condition with a few small bites out of the fabric, some slight discoloration and loose stitching in spots including hemming of sleeve, and a few of the sequins coming unstitched. All in all, given that this beauty is around 80 years old, she still has a lot of life in her. Hidden side button opening, no zipper.

Fabric Content/Care: No fabric tag. My best guess is rayon, given the drape.
Condition: Good vintage condition given its age, with some small holes (the most obvious of which on one shoulder, but are quite small), some slight discoloration of the fabric, and some of the sequins needing restitching.
Measurements: 19” pit to pit, 28” waist, 40” long, 17.5” sleeves.

Hi! Do you have the hip measurements? And how much room is there in general in the hip area - e.g., a true A-line that flares from the waist, or is it more fitted through the hips? Thanks!

@ekkaeje Hi! Thanks for asking. I'm out of town until Monday night, but I'll measure Tuesday and let you know. Thanks for your patience!

@bekahscloset1 Appreciate it, thank you!

@ekkaeje So measured flat it's 14" at the dress waist, hip measured 4" down from dress waist is 16.5", and hip measured 7" down from dress waist is 18". Double these measurements of course for actual circumference. So it is an A-line but does not flare a lot. Hope this helps!
