This incredible vintage floral dress was made in the 1940s by Henry Rosenfeld. It's roomy for a vintage dress - easily fit my size 4 dress form - and in great shape for its age. The fabric label is missing, but the dress feels like cotton.
It features a small white, grey, and green floral print against a greyish-purple background, a square neckline, ruched sleeves with ties, and bust and bodice darting. It has a hidden metal zipper on the left side.
I did an internet search for this Henry Rosenfeld label to date the dress. If you search "Henry Rosenfeld Label History," you'll find this label is from the 1940s.
The last 9 photos in this listing are old magazine ads for Henry Rosenfeld, plus 1940s photos of pinup-style peasant dresses (the most well-know wearer being Sophia Loren - last 2 photos).
The dress is in excellent vintage condition. In looking very closely and thoroughly, I see a couple of tiny brown spots (photo 7), but they're VERY hard to see given how small they are and how patterned the dress is.
There's no size tag, but I estimate that this dress is equivalent to a modern size 4 since that's the size of my dress form. Please review the below measurements to ensure the dress is a good fit for you. They were taken on the front of the dress with it zipped up and laid flat.
