Vintage 1940s WW2 Sweetheart Children’s Trench Art Cuff Bracelet. Here is a rare 1940s sweetheart cuff bracelet handmade by a soldier stationed in Germany during WWII. This one was made for a child so it is SMALL. This one is done with a cool dot etching writing styling. The frontside reads: Melvin Hemphill the Backside: Love Mom and Dad These were typically made as a gift for his sweetheart or loved one back home, the soldier would artfully forge and engrave the aluminum cuff more than often from plane parts. Due to the material this one is not very bendable or able to be reshaped/resized. So this is more of a collectors piece. Measurements Length: 4 1/2 inches Opening: 1 5/8 inches ** I was able to track down the original owner/maker of this cuff as well as the receiver. I had the intention of trying to return the cuff to the family but found that there were no surviving family members. So I am offering it up for sale. **
