Vintage 1940s The Columbia Metal Products - 7" Crock Bowl, Dark Brown Glaze

This old stoneware crock bowl is glazed in dark brown. The Columbia Metal Products Co. is marked on the bottom. It is meant to be used with a handheld metal beater to beat eggs or cream. There is a small indentation in the bottom of the bowl that would hold the beater in place. Thick-walled mixing bowl with a flat rim that is said to be able to hone & sharpen knives, but I have not tried it. Comes with the Dream Cream mixer. Works great in the bowl. Bowl measures 7" diam x 3-3/8" tall, holds 5 cups of prepared food. Bowl weighs 1 lb-12 oz. In very good vintage condition. Wear is consistent with age & use showing normal scuffs and scratches inside and out. Bottom is marked "The Columbia Metal Products Co". Also included with this bundle is a 2 cup metal flour sifter. Works great.
