Vintage 1940’s Utah Tailoring Mills Charcoal Suit Set Skirt Jacket Chic Classic

Exquisite vintage 1940’s Utah Tailoring Mills suit set with a skirt and jacket. Fabric is a dark charcoal with a very subtle metallic weave that gives a slight shimmer. It feels like wool or a wool blend. Jacket is simply stunning! The tailoring is insane. It’s fitted throughout waist with 3 darts on each side in front and the back has them across the waist. The collar is rounded and fairly wide with short pleats in front and a slit in back center. Jacket buttons up front with amazing black lucite caged buttons with a large rhinestone in the center of each one. Padded shoulders. Inside is fully line. The lining has some fading under the arms and the shoulder seams need mending as it appears the jacket was tested by someone too large for it. The skirt is amazing as well. It’s unlined in the same fabric. It’s a straight cut and fitted through the waist with darts. The back features a masterfully tailored accordion pleated slit. It zips up side waist with a Talon zipper and buttons with a large real mother of pearl shell button. No flaws found to skirt at all. They certainly don’t make them like this anymore! No size info but am guessing this to be S-M, see measurements below.
