Vintage Brass Key Door Knocker on a Cast Iron Plate signed Evelyn Jahncke ©1948 This is a fun piece of MCM decor for your front door! It's in fantastic condition, I suspect it has not been used outdoors as the brass key has no oxidation or patina and is very smooth and shiny. The cast iron plate also shows no rust or wear. Large brass skeleton-like key on a black cast iron, key hole-shaped plate. The mounting holes are in the back on this piece and they are not through and through- I suspect it may be intended to be mounted on a plate, rather than directly to the door. Please have a look at the pictures. It has a nice, lound knock and weighs 1.34lbs. This is a nice, clean, simple design in amazing condition.
