Vintage 1950S Mr. Blackwell Design Dress

(Size 10) wool & silk. Big bow infront. zipper in back.  Mr. Blackwell, in the late 1950’s. He dropped his first name in the style of Valentino, Versace, and others. His designs were theatrical with over the top embellishments. He favored leopard prints and large bows in his work and continued producing designs until the 1980’s. He was also a fashion critic and one of the first to create a “best dressed” and “worst dressed” list after award shows. He delivered cutting one-of a kind dresses.
