Vintage 1950s Arnart 5th Ave. GIRL AND DOG hand painted porcelain figurine made in Japan. Arnart 5th Ave. imported customized products made in Japan via their USA office which was located on 5th Avenue in New York City… hence the name Arnart 5th Ave. It was In the 1950s, that the company decided to offer a series of beautiful porcelain figurines in order to compete with the popular Hummels being produced by Goebel. To that end, they hired Erich Stauffer who designed most of their figurines… including this item. Very good overall condition with no cracks or chips to the porcelain. Beautiful colors with only very minor paint wear along bottom edge of the base as shown. Measures about 4 3/8” high. See pics for more details.
