1950's cocker spaniel dog ceramic figurine with rhinestone eyes, splooting. As a collector of mid-century dog figurines, I've seen MANY different styles but I've never seen one that so perfectly captured the beloved "sploot" that some dogs do when they lay down! This is a 50's ceramic figurine featuring a black and white dog that resembles the "Butch" spaniel made popular by Albert Staehle in the 1940s. He has yellow rhinestone eyes and a tiny pink tongue peaking out.
Includes an inscription on the bottom that reads "Mr. & Mrs. Otto Harrison, 4-21-58...Christmas".
