Pristine condition - without chips, nicks, or scratches Stained to resemble tea stained ivory Celluloid does yellow over time so item is a yellowed cream. The embossed design is stained for appearances by designer. Handles are black dragons Drawers pull forward easily but designed not to come out Drawers are lined Base is black and in perfect condition Item is lighter weight then it appears Refer to photos for measurements Celluloid History : John Hyatt invented the process for making celluloid, the first artificial plastic. In the late 1860s, while searching for a substitute for ivory for making billiard balls, Hyatt combined nitrocellulose, camphor, and alcohol and heated the mixture under pressure to make it pliable for molding.
