Vintage 1950s Handmade Brooch

Interesting brooch that I picked up a few years ago. I was told that it was made by the seller's mother in the '50s. It appears to be made of plastic & wood??!! It's unique and unusual and definitely one of a kind! I've never worn it. Please give this a good home.
