Vintage 1950's Lecoqdor By Rooster Striped Thin Tie Original Tie Silk Hand Woven Exclusively For Rooster Ellie Conason White Plains NY This tie is from our large collection of vintage neck ties. This happens to be one of my very favorites. Length: 52″ Width: 1 3/4″ at the thinnest it is 1". Muted shade of deep burgundy, black, and a blueish gray. The handsome labels on the inside of the tie. This tie is in excellent condition. About the store this tie was purchase from in the 1950's: "Ellie Conason", a popular crafts and contemporary design store on Post Road in White Plains. The store closed in 1981, Ellie then went to work at the Hudson River Museum, where she created a craft gallery and curated its exhibitions. Included new tie box…..nice for a gift presentation.
