Vintage 1950s Paul Sachs Original Black Silk Taffeta Dress w/ Ruffled Peplum

Paul Sachs silk taffeta (?) black dress from the 1950s. Material is a shiny and matte diamond design. Center front small buttons (original) with a hook & eye at the waist. Ruffled peplum from front to just beyond the side seams. Short sleeves with cuff and 2 buttons. Shoulder pads. Round neckline - no collar. Belt loops but no belt. The bodice has gathered insets from the side seam to about 3 inches from center front and waist to bust. The bodice has a full fit. Paul Sachs Original label. No size or material content labels. Looks like the length would be to mid leg. This looks to be a small or extra small size dress. Hip size is narrow. Armpit to Armpit - 17 inches Waist - 12 inches Hip - 15 1/2 inches Shoulder Seam to Shoulder Seam - 16 inches Back Neck to Waist - 15 1/2 inches Skirt Length - 26 inches Center Back Length - 41 inches Sleeve Length (from shoulder) - 10 inches Sleeve Opening - 5 inches This dress is in very nice condition with no tears or stains. Does not appear altered. No missing buttons. Does not have a belt. Suggest Dry Clean only. No bad odors. This dress is from my grandmother's estate. I have not had this dress cleaned.
