Vintage 1950s Pillbox Hat Black Pheasant Feather-Evelyn Varon-Union Millinery

This is a classic 1950's vintage black feather pillbox Evelyn Varon Exclusive hat. Beautiful black shiny pheasant feathers wrap around the perimeter of the hat. In the back center are iridescent green, yellow, white, and orange accent feathers. The inside of the hat has netting and a ridge/rim to help hold that hat in place during wear. Evelyn Varon was a french milliner or hat maker. Her work was popular for decades and whose designs were marketed under various labels in the USA. This hat still has the Union Hatters of North America mark and tag on the inside. This is a wonderful piece of American fashion history.
