Procured from the original owner, this beautiful 1950s floral dress was purchased in the late 1950s/early 60s and worn for formal glamor shots, among other fun events.
This lovely silk dress features a beautiful brown floral pattern, flattering v-neckline with wide, pleated shawl collar, fitted bodice, full knee-length skirt, and matching belt.
Pre-owned condition, the fabric on the belt buckle does show heavy wear. There is also wear along bottom hemline with minor separation of silk fibers. Dropped hem was professionally repaired. Please see photo collages for examples.

The Suzy Perette Company was a dress manufacturing company located in New York City, at 134 W. 37th Street from 1949 to the early 1970s. Their pieces were known for being quality interpretations of the House of Dior's garments, created to be affordable versions of Parisian designs. The iconic Suzy Perette silhouette features a cinched waist, with a full skirt. An ideal that was popularized by Dior’s famous “New Look”.
