This gorgeous vintage maxi skirt by Alex Colman California features a colorful and psychedelic geometric print. An online search for "Alex Colman California Label History" shows that this skirt was made in the 1960s. It doesn't have a fabric label, but feels to me like a cotton-polyester blend. The solid purple lining feels to me like either a polyester or acetate fabric.
The skirt has a hidden zipper on the wearer's left side with a button at the top of the zipper. The waist is trimmed with a 1" band of purple velvet fabric. It also has side slits that are ~19.5" up from the bottom hem to allow for easy of movement.
The skirt is in absolutely pristine condition, even not considering that it's ~60 years old. The fabric is crisp and bright. There are no flaws anywhere that I can find. To me, the skirt looks like it was barely if ever worn.
The skirt is roomy given that it's from the 1960s. I'm normally a size 6/8 and this skirt fits me well in the waist and hips. However, I'm 5'0", so it's too long for me.
Please review the below measurements carefully to ensure it's a good fit for you. They were taken on the front of the skirt with it zipped up and laid flat.
Waist: 14.5"
Hips (Measured 8" below Waist): 19"
Length: 40.5"
