This elegant vintage set of Brocade china, was made in Japan in the 1960's, by Style House. The word brocade comes from the Italian word broccato, which means, "embossed cloth". Brocade was very popular in Italy during the Renaissance, especially with the upper class. Brocade designs were inspired by Chinese and Indian styles. This beautiful set of china, is a service set for 12. It has a beautiful lace design on the outer edges of the service wear, with a silver or platinum painted trim. You get 12 settings, minus one dessert/bread plate. (which my grandson accidentally broke). This plate can be replaced online for about $7. Whether you are serving a meal for 4, 6, or more, you will be proud to serve your guests, with this elegant china. The set is in excellent condition! Smaller sets of this exact China, sell for much more. Don't let it get away. 🤗
