Vintage 1960s Erte "Wings of Victory" Art Deco Gold Metallic Lacquer Trinket Box

Vintage maple wood jewelry box hand painted with Erte's 1978 "Wings of Victory" image and brass hardware. The box is lacquered with the inside and bottom lined with black velvet. I kinda love this trinket box and wouldn’t cry if I “had” to keep it Dimensions 4ʺW × 6ʺD × 3ʺH Ships boxed in a box Materials: Brass Lacquer Maple Velvet Good Condition, hardware works, lining intact Imperfections- scratches- most notably in front. Fuzz inside lining Color- Gold, black Romain de Tirtoff (Erte) 1892-1989 The designs created by Erte during his long and illustrious life influenced not only the world of theatre, film and fashion, but an entire art movement as well. The influence of his work as a result of the high visibility of this periodical influenced an entire art movement that was to become known as "Art Deco".
