This very uniquely made sequenced Red, White and Blue Blazer was Handmade and designed by Les Wilk.
Les Wilk was the Resident director of Texas Women’s University’s Southwest Institute of Design.
Everything he made was from material sourced in Texas and handmade near Dallas.
This was my grandmothers which I found in a hermetically sealed hanging bag in the back of the attic as I was doing the final clean out for the estate two years ago.
It must have been a respected piece of hers because I assumed it was her wedding dress and only opened the hanging bag this year.
To my surprise it contained several fancy evening dresses an this blazer.
I can’t find any holes or damage nor any blemishes anywhere.
A size 14 in 1960s is equivalent to a size 8 today.
If you want to be unique and support an American Made of designer slice of history, this is the stylish piece for you!
I will have exact measurements later today.
Cheers to happiness and good health
