Vintage 1960s Wide Brim Black Hat by Atelier Lucas London Velour Felt Ladies S

This is a wonderful 1960s vintage hat made by Otto Lucas under the “Atelier Lucas” label. I believe that hats with the “Atelier Lucas” label were made in England. This hat features a wide brim that is very pliable due to the quality velour fur felt used to make this hat. The high set crown is decorated with a multicoloured feather ribbon. The opening is lined with black grosgrain ribbon. The hat measures 16 1/4” by 17 5/8” across the bottom. The opening measures 21 5/8” around the inside band - it should fit a small to medium size. The hat is in very good condition - the only defect is maybe a missing feather to the upper band on the side as there is a slightly bare spot there (see the photo of the hat taken from the side). Otherwise, the feathers are all intact. The felt is very pliable, so you need to work with it to find the right look for you - I’ve tried to show this in the photos.
