This is a very classic looking dress coat. Fantastic condition for age was well taken care of by previous owner. This is also lightweight because of being made of cashmere alone not a blend. This is a jewel..last picture is of lining..ok as with some other listings this is vintage & may have a grandmas attic smell to sensitive noses. I have sprayed & aired it. Dry cleaning is possible if you want to purchase. But I don't like that smell so I haven't done it..

ninamh Hi, this is lovely, Are there any rips, holes, or stains? Also, is this still very soft, or has age made it rough?

gayle01 No this is in like new condition..the fur is soft also the coat is very soft..no holes. The coat was in storage when I acquired it.

gayle01 @ninamh I thought I answered your question but forgot to tag you.. The coat is in great condition the fur & cloth is both very soft. I know what you mean by rough. Not this piece. No stains, rips or wholes on here..sorry about blip in answering.

gayle01 @burieida it has been in storage with charcoal & a dehumidifier. I only listed that because it is old & a lot of those older garments have been in someone's attic or basement. I usually spray & air before listing. It was in plastic garment bag when I acquired it. Not what you want to do with fur.. Never in plastic. I always store with cotton bags over. I have it outside now airing again. The smoke is in reference to they literally smoked back in the day. But I can't smell anything.

gayle01 @burieida depends on your relationship with your cleaners.. Some around here will charge 10 to 15 for just to deodorize which is all you would need done ..
