This vintage brass and stone sculpture depicts a seagull in flight and is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece signed by the artist, DeMott. The sculpture measures 10.5 inches in height, folded brass wings measuring 12 inches across and widest part of the wing is 2”. The sculpture has a brutalist style with unadorned raw material. Weighs 1 lb 6 oz, base maybe green and brown onyx or quartz stone and irregular size; base measures approximately 5”x3” 1.5” in depth. The artist signature is on the top of the stone, bottom has 4 felt stickers for furniture protection and an old price tag. John DeMott is a famous American Western Artist. He did metalwork in the 1970's in southern California and sold the metal business to his brother Don in 1977 because he wanted to concentrate on painting. In excellent preowned condition, this is a unadorned raw intricate handmade metalwork sculpture; the seagull is brass and tarnished. No damage to the sculpture or the stone base. No box is included.
