Vintage 1970’s Floral Prairie Gunne Style Dress

This lovely vintage 70s-80s romantic EDWARDIAN-inspired wedding dress is unlabeled, but it is certainly inspired by the popular (if not an actual) GUNNE SAX line. The dress is perfect for a retro prairie look, a country wedding or a fantasy vibe! The dress is made of a lovely sheer voile in a print of scattered pink rosebuds and green leaves on a white ground. (probably cotton/poly). The bodice is completely lined in a matching white cotton batiste. The skirt has a full slip lining layer in what feels like acetate peau de soie to give fullness. The scoop neck bodice features a white lace edging, and a center panel of lace decorated with a row of 5 pearl ball buttons. It is edged in pink satin ribbon and scalloped lace. This lace/ribbon panel continues down the center front of the skirt, where it is met with a 14" wide hem ruffle, with more lace at the seam join. There is a lace-covered waistband to which is attached two voile ties at the side seams to form a bow in the back, where the dress zips with a plastic zipper. The sleeves are made of sheer white lace. They are gathered at the shoulder, and have an elastic cuff. This is labeled size 11/12 which would fit a women’s size Large but could be made smaller due to the tie on the waist.
