Vintage 1980’s Disco Dress

This dress screams 1980! It truly captures the elegant height of the decade. Single knit, padded shoulders, heavily gathered front and back flounce, runched drop waist and the dolman sleeve set this dress in about 1984. Maybe call the cast of Dynasty or Joan Collins to verify! The color is allusive to my camera. The last photo posted shows the most accurate color. It’s a vibrant Navy that sometimes look a bit more purple. This gown is a drop waist style with deco style draping. It’s meant to look roomy in in the bodice to contrast with the heavy gathers and runching at the hip line. Upper hip: 15 Lower hip: 17 Length: 51 The care label reads “dry clean only”; every garment in the 80’s seemed to require dry cleaning. The dress is a single knit and can be laundered on the delicate cycle. Hang to dry! Does not require ironing….which is why we loved our single knit and Qiana dresses! Vtg
