Vintage 1980s Jessica McClintock Gunnies White Corset-Style Blouse, ca. 1982

I lived through the Jessica McClintock era, and was an addict. Both of my prom dresses were Gunne Sax, and I had the cutest Gunnies skirt and top. That was many years ago. Flash forward to a year or two ago when I found my Gunnies blouse for sale on Etsy! I had to have it. Now it's time to let it go. The blouse has held up over the years amazingly well. The one problem I had with it was that the button holes had stretched from use just enough for the top button to keep sliding out. So I replaced the buttons with some just a little bit larger, and that did the trick. They're a perfect fit. It's a style that's popular again--I attached some photos of blouses that were obviously inspired by the Gunnies look. This is the real thing, and you can have it for less that the repros! I see no stains or holes. A few loose threads on the backs of some of the button holes. It's a 1982 size 9, which is about a 4 in today's sizes. Measurements lying flat: Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 12.75" Bust is 16" across (I'm a 34B and it fits me) Waist is 13.5 across Measuring from bottom of neckline to bottom of ruffle, length is just under 14". It's intended to fit right at the top of your skirt or jeans, with the ruffle extending over that. Not a crop-top, but you also can't tuck it in.
