Vintage 1980's Whiting & Davis style Metal Mesh Crossbody Clutch handbag

Vintage convertible clutch crossbody handbag. Possibly Whiting & Davis but there is no tag or logo. Metal mesh with gold metal trim that has been painted black on the outer trim and sides. Black West German snake chain that tucks inside the bag so it can be carried like a clutch. This bag is structured like a phone case. It doesn't expand more than 2 inches. The 42-inch snake chain allows you to carry it crossbody and it would be perfect for a phone, lipstick and keys. Measurements: Across side to side front: 9.5 inches Sides: 2 inches Height of bag: 6.5 inches Length of chain: 42 inches Condition: Vintage good. Someone has cut out the pocket inside so they can fit more. The remnants of the pocket stitching still shows but is hidden inside. There are some small knicks to the black paint that show the original gold. These are hard to see but could always be painted over. I will leave that up to the new owner.
