Rare vintage multi process/ firing Halcyon Days collectible enamel box. This is a 1988 Elizabethan potpourri basket with a perforated lid for scent to diffuse. Halcyon Days Enamels are of the highest available quality and the company has all three Royal Warrants awarded. Multi color enamels have to be fired in a certain order and fired multiple times in layers. The more colors, the more complicated. This basket is a gorgeous objet d art and is jewelry for your home. The background has a wicker basket motif with a bonanza of floral design on top. The rim of the basket, lid, handle and finial are all gilt. Comes in original royal blue box with gold ‘Halcyon Days” logo stamped. Box is lined in blue velvet. Makes for an excellent gift. Metal anniversary. Includes original brochure and insert card. Basket is lined in white enamel on the inside. Size: 4.75” (to top of extended handle) x 2.5” diameter at widest point of basket. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Original box. No dents, dings, enamel chipping on any visible surface (has one tiny enamel lift on edge of bottom of basket that is not visible unless you look for it underneath). Gilt is bright. No scratches.
