Vintage lot of Image Comics New Men from the 1990's. Near mint but ungraded. All boarded and sleeved. See photos for details. New Men is a comic book series published by Image Comics during the 1990s. Created by Rob Liefeld, Eric Stephenson, and Marat Mychaels, the series was part of Liefeld's Extreme Studios imprint. The story revolves around a group of teenagers with "Nu-Gene" powers, which are similar to Marvel's Mutants. These Nu-Genes also explain the existence of mythical creatures like fairies, centaurs, vampires, and werewolves. The series began with an initial mini-series during the "Extreme Prejudice" crossover and later continued as an ongoing series. The characters and story underwent several revamps and crossovers, including "Extreme Sacrifice" and "Babewatch". Despite these efforts, the series eventually went on hiatus and was later renamed "Adventures of the New Men" before ultimately fizzling out. Rare and hard to find given the shorter run.
