Prior to 1994/1995, they did not have the cloth Carhartt “C” logo patch on the chest and instead had the pocket tab logo. 6BLJ became J01 when the codes were simplified in 1997-98. J01 was later discontinued and replaced by J001 in 2011 and numerical sizing (38, 40, 42, etc.) was replaced with letter sizing (S, M, L, etc.).
