Appraised $1200.00. 1st Coverlet is 103" x 59". 2nd Coverlet is 105" by 66.5". Each piece is delicately hand stitched at the ends (similar to towels made in Turkey). unsure of origin. Each piece may have very dull stains but no rips/tears and stains will desolve when dry cleaned. Lots of life left in each. Price is firm.

averybadcat i hope you won't mind but i have copied your top photo for a screen saver. it is so cheerful. i know these coverlets; i have one in blue and white (the more traditional scheme for American weavings) with the date of 1862 loomed in. i do not dare buy this one because of my cats; all my good collectible textiles from rugs to quilts are in plastic bags now. whoever gets this one will have a treasure
