This is a lovely whimsical piece showing McCoy's early decorative side. "Oh Wishing Well Grant a Wish To Me" is embossed around the wishing well. Bucket on the side has a moveable metal handle feature and attached chain.
Measures: 7" wide x 6 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" deep
McCoy Stoneware Company, a pottery manufacturer, was based in Ohio. Originally, the company made utilitarian wares. After 1925, they began offering decorative objects such as jars, stands, and planters. Most of the products are plainly marked McCoy, so they are easy to recognize. Made in the late 1940s through the early '50s, wishing-well planters featured a variety of colors
