Vintage 50s 60s La Bella MCM plaid button down jacket, red white blue - 6 or 7

Preppy and cute with mod retro style this jacket has a wool look, in a zig zag plaid. Double patch pockets and peter pan collar. Size listed is 7, but vintage runs small, so I am adding 6. Fun learning moment on RN numbers: The first RN numbers were issued in 1952 and ranged from 00101 (the lowest number) to 04086 (the highest number). In 1959, the numbering system changed, and the new numbers started from 13670. Therefore, you can estimate the age of a garment by comparing its RN number to 13670. For example, a label with RN 17272 would suggest that the garment was made in the mid-’60s. That means this jacket would have been made in 1959 - early 1960s - In fact, this particular rn (13706) is just the 36th one given!!!!
