Vintage 50s Hand Tooled Leather and Cowhide Purse From Mexico with Aztec Motifs

This vintage tooled leather purse is from Mexico. Has detailed tooling on both sides and ponyhair trim. Interior is leather lined with 3 interior compartments (one zip) and 2 zip pockets. Awesome 3D designs with dancers and pyramids/ cactus in the background. 2 panels of Spotted Cowhide surround. Aztec/ Mayan calendar on back with beautiful tooled detail throughout including the bottom. A couple of minor scratches as pictured and tear on back side of panel that has clasp. Inside is very clean, virtually unused. This is such a fun bag that that exemplifies the amazing craftsmanship found in Mexican folk art.
