Vintage 50's Matisse Nefertiti Enamel Copper Choker Collar Necklace

This vintage 1950's Matisse "Nefertiti" Egyptian revival enameled copper collar choker necklace features oval pieces that are lighter at the bottom and darker at the top. There is a subtle shimmer with the copper links and through the flecks of black and brown over the copper ovals. One of the ovals has a slight bend above the link, and several of the links have small chips of the enamel. The approximate length of the necklace is 19" including the extension chain which allows the wear to adjust from collar to choker length as desired. The closure is a hook clasp. My sister-in-law was an avid collector of so many things, jewelry was just one category. She knew everything about each and every one of her pieces but unfortunately she is no longer able to tell us. I'm not an expert - I just offered to help find new homes for her beloved pieces. This is a vintage piece and has evidence of wear that is appropriate for its age.
