Vintage 50s Rare Louella Ballerino Embroidered Fringe Ethnic Peasant Skirt

In the 1940s, Ballerino became well known as a member of the California Design sportswear movement. Ballerino drew inspiration from African, Latin American, Pacific, and Caribbean native styles, and helped popularize ethnic garments in the United States. Iconic skirt with embroidered birds and fringe trim. Heavy cotton and full circle style. Slight discoloration on some of the fringe, but overall in excellent gently worn vintage condition.
