Vintage 50s Yoruba Ceremonial Belt African Tribal Beaded Snake Beaded Lizard Belt African Wall Hanging. Beautiful hand beaded Nigerian Yoruba ceremonial belt from the 1950’s. Overall in great condition minus some beading lost on the wall hanging loop. I do not see any other areas with missing beads. Beautiful and vibrant array of glass seed beads and cowrie shells which were used to signify status and femininity. The hanging loop is sturdy enough to display this beauty on the wall as I have myself. But I would be mindful. Original Origen is Nigeria.
