Vintage 50's or 60's Silk Beaded Opera Coat

Elegant and Glamorous. Vintage 50's, 60's Black Silk Beaded Opera Coat This unique, hand-sewn coat is in excellent condition. All of the black glass beading is fully intact. The outside body of the coat is made of heavy silk satin and the inside lining of silk charmueuse is machine embroidered with the Chinese characters of long life and good fortune. The three-quarter length cuffs roll up revealing exquisite beading. The coat is substantial and the beading adds to the weight of the collar. There is an inside pocket on the left side lapel. When I acquired the coat I found a three-digit phone number on a slip of paper and a dime in the inside pocket. The good old days when phone calls were a dime and blonds in black silk emerged from a limo, then elegantly strutted off to cocktails and the theatre. The feeling of black silk charmeuse makes any woman feel sensual and appear mysterious. You will love wearing this coat.
