Vintage Foxford Wool Blanket 56x72 Blue White PreOwned, no flaws noted. Please see photos. VINTAGE Wool Blanket MADE AT FOXFORD WOOLLEN MILL IN IRELAND This beautiful off-white and blue blanket came from an estate that contained mostly treasures from the 1930 and 1940’s. The Foxford Mill in Ireland was founded in 1892 by Mother Agnes Morrogh Bernard, a Sister of Charity. After four years of famine, starvation, and mass exodus in County Mayo , the new woollen mill was a tremendous boom to the area. It supplied many new jobs and the town of Foxford grew and flourished around the mill. I do not know the history of this particular vintage blanket. Please look at the picture. It is off white with blue strips that go all the way through to the back. It measures 56"W by 72"L. It is made of IRISH wool from IRISH sheep. I have not laundered this. This would be great folded at the end of a bed in your cabin. Please look carefully at the pictures for condition and size. I recommend laying a similar piece of clothing flat and mirroring the measurement layout for a sure fit. Most orders ship the following business day.
